With all the revisions and whatnot, -Ford changed F-series part numbers every other year. It use to be you could go by the center set of F series part numbers...no longer.

Hmm..what doesn't seem right here ?

Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): EV233, EV238, EV248, F75Z6A666BA, F7UZ6A666BA, F7UZ6A666CA, Y3CZ6A666BB, YC3Z6A666BA, YC3Z6A666BB, YC3Z6A666CA.

Confused yet ? EV238 is generally the number you go by. Some of those cross references have to do with what type of PCV system you have on that particuler engine.

So, go out and pop the hood. What looking for is weather you have a cold climate system on that 03 or just a regular set up. There also different types of cold climate systems. See what you have..your PCV valve may be wrapped with a coolant line like many 02 models were...Go see

What doesn't look right to me is the combination of 666 being in the majority of the listings. LOL! I knew these things are the devil to work on.

Funny how you posted that picture look what came in the mail today. Also have an air conditioner question. Today when i was driving my a/c was working fine and when i would idle for more than 5 minutes it would just blow air no coldness. Any clue what can cause that.

Also another question. I had my brakes flushed today when i picked it up it was filled up to the Max line. Tonight i checked and it lowered a little enough for me to notice. Is that normal to lose a little through the day?

Actually, it's the first time I've seen motorcraft combine that many part numbers with the PCV valves. Sounds like you're going to have to recharge your AC soon. Surprised I haven't had the do that yet in the 98...after 319,000 miles lol. But, there's a few things on that truck that mysteriously deifies all odds lol.

Haha , ya, -

PCV Valve:

- EV233, EV238, EV248. Those are the normal Motorcraft numbers. Then you have these part to decipher which are the same part, = 6A666, -
F75Z6A666BA, F7UZ6A666BA, F7UZ6A666CA, Y3CZ6A666BB, YC3Z6A666BA, YC3Z6A666BB, YC3Z6A666CA...Which break down this way, - Plant/date(YC3Z)-Part #(6A666)-Revision order (In this case"CA" would be the latest revision.

All that matters, - you have the correct part, IF it looks like your original. Like I mentioned earlioer, some models had the cold climate system, -quite a few actually. Only way to is to look at your motor and the actual part. Some PCV valves/IAC's and TB's are heated by the coolant system with these tenth generation trucks.

Brakes weren't totally bled. With the set up these trucks have it's not always easy. Many times you'll have to do it more than once. Most likely due to the proportioning valves and ABS set ups that vary model year to model year. It may work the residual air out itself. That may be way why the reserve droped a bit. UNLESS it's leaking of course.
If all looks good and it happens just once, then you probably be fine. How do they feel?

I had my coolant flushed today and he checked my freon and he said its at all full charge. He said i need a full diagnostic done but didn't have time to do it today. Luckily it works completely fine as i drive just bad when i idle for more than 5 minutes. But all my truck work has come to a screeching halt. Came home today and my house was 90 degrees. Called an a/c company and i need a full replacement inside and outside. Just the way i wanted to start a weekend. I found out a/c units are not cheap at all.

I would see if the compressor is still cycling when at idle. If it is, you may want to clean the front of the radiator and condenser. You may not be getting any airflow from the fan to cool the condenser. I'd take the plastic trim over the core support off and inspect. Guessing there is a bunch of stuff in front if the radiator. Causing the cooling fan to not pull any air from the condenser. If the compressor quits cycling at idle then further diagnosis may be needed.

Perhaps you need a serp belt or tensioner then. Check out what TRD said as well.

That does suck, I needed a AC unit a few years ago and was just over 2 grand. Depends opon square footage I expect. Worst time of year for that going out. Do you have a whole house fan system and a basement ? You can make one up if you have a basement.

You could also get one of those things the Chinese wave in front of their faces...might want to use that little number in seclusion tho.

AC installers are going to get yuh this time of year...full price! Ask what the cash price is. Sometimes it's much lower.

Well, save all the important info for later. Keep in mind, if you don't do some of the work on the truck yourself, that's going to cost yuh as well.

It helps to have right friends lol, - and a fully stocked beer cooler.
