Ignition Coils
About #4, - Always look for signs coolant leaks. Look at the top of the coil for spotting and other evidence, such as coolant in the chamber.
Hard to detect coolant leaking from the HC lines there. They leak intermittently and only at certain pressures (at the engine side). Then the coolant evaporates.
Also check the top of the AC accumulator. The coil harness dips down over time and comes in contact with the accumulator. Skinning and chaffing can occur creating a magnetic disturbance...with that, ignition havoc. Those wires are foil wrapped. Even a hole in the foil can case thing to go haywire.

I had a coolant leak back in last October but suppose to be fixed. Ill go and check it and see if its back. Also i had another question and dont laugh at me if you can help it. With those injectors you told me to get i know they have 4 holes for gas compared to one with the stock ones. Does that mean better or worse gas mileage. To me 4 holes means i burn more fuel than one.

3 Year Warranty Genuine Bosch Fuel Injector Set 210cc Generation 3 | eBay
Look around, you may find them cheaper. You need Bosch 19 lb EV1 Injectors.
Easy to change yourself, with a little guidance, not much.
Cleaning anything air metering can help, specially the MAF sensor. Just make sure you reset the KAM (KeepAliveMemory) when you do. That way your adaptive strategies can adapt to the change much quicker.
Tell you what, you install those Visteons, fresh injectors and the correct plugs at the same time, -it's going to feel like a new truck again...motor wise.
Coils (transformer windings) burn up one turn at a time. Shorted turns add up over time. Just one shorted turn won't be noticeable because of how the transformer is wound. When you have enough of them, they get weak and eventually begin to misfire. At first you'll get a low grade miss at certain loads which only gets worse over time. So, at first you'll loose performance, = no misfires but, the truck will feel like a heavy slug. That follows up w/low grade misfires (usually between 45 - 55 mph)
Sort of the same effect with Injectors. The factory injectors have filters in them, - right at the top that look like miniature garden hose filters. They can get dirty with time. Injector cleaner doesn't help much, BG service will help, -how much depends how guncked up they are and how good the tech is running the service. But yea, your truck can feel sluggish and not very responsive. You can manually clean the injectors yourself, but that's another writeup all together. The injectors I posted above are known as 4 hole. Your factory injectors are one hole. I'm referring to spray pattern. Fords upgraded injectors are 4 hole for better atomization and,- well, just better all around.
You can do the plugs, injectors and coils yourself. I'll help yuh and there's plenty of guys around here that can give yuh a hand. It's not really that bad, event easier with someone helping that has done it many times in the past. The plugs coils and injectors are all in line with each other. Meaning you swap these out at the same time. You install the plugs first, seat the injectors, install the coils, then install the fuel rail last.

The tall skinny design 3's were the older updates, -same specs, but they're a little loud.
Keep in mind. When installing new or freshly cleaned injectors, sometimes these engines won't fire right away. You might need to purge the air from the rail once or twice..no biggy. Also keep in mind NOT to crank the engine more than 4 seconds continuously. The PCM will shut the rail down to protect the converters.
Are these the same fuel injectors. As the ones that you sent me. Was a good price on them but wanted to make sure. The item number was not the same but its Generation 3 19LB. I did a google search looking for a better part and it says those injectors are for volvo's. Thanks for any input.

So it doesnt matter the item number is different it also looks different from the ones you sent. It also doesnt say if its Per injector or a set. Also think i ordered the wrong PCV Valve. I was looking through my owners manual for something and noticed the valve number in there its EV-233 and on FordParts.com its listed as EV-238.

I don't mean to disrespect you by questioning part numbers. I'm very detailed orientated when it comes to stuff like item numbers and stuff like that. I really owe you a lot of thanks for all your help. I would be so far behind and be ordering the wrong parts by now. Thanks again.
