I have a 1998 f150 4.2 v6 and my dash panel is cracked i want to replace the part right above the guage cluster and cant seem to find it anywhere. ive gone to junk yards, searched online, and cant seem to find it.. can anyone help?? also i replace the cover to the cigerette lighter sockets but cant figure out how that little spring in there fits. can anyone upload a picture to use as a reference? its pissing me off lol... also i need to replace the carpet and the over head any ideas?? thanks

 

might be a dealer only part. give your local dealer a call but be prepared to pay $100 for a piece of plastic.

 

I'm actually surprised you can't find the correct part... About every wrecking yard I've ever been to has at least a few 97-03 f150's... They don't usually post interior body parts online though so if the yards in your area don't have any you may need to make some phone calls to see if someone will ship you one. I'd make it a habit to stop by every wrecking yard you see because most of those types of parts seem to be pick and pull.
