duces, make sure that the passenger side exhaust manifold is not cracked, that was a weak spot in those cars. It was a bitch of a job to do in my car(but all the bolts came out clean )

i would not want that job in a mustang

also put all new freeze plugs in too

So finally got the 429 on an engine stand to get a good look at it. No CJ on the Heads just a “C”. It’s really heavy aluminum everything is the way to go. I seen a light weight crank shaft for the motor but it was $1300. I wanna reuse the crank and the rods depending on conditions everything else is gonna be the scrap heap. I have about $1000 bucks in scrap metal right now and it should be bigger after summer. I can start tear down after summer I got a lot of unpacking to still do and AC systems to replace.

Don’t mind the mess. Still unpacking from the move.

No, CJ's are for the 429/460.

Those heads.... do they say D0VE-C? If so, they are pretty decent heads. I think those are capable of 600-700 HP, as I recall.

They are D0VE-C I had written that in the post when I posted the pictures but only the pictures came up. That’s a lot of power for stock heads where are you getting this information? I imagine the 600 is only possible after a machinist has his way with them. Either way I still don’t want them. They are heavier than the entire earth. It took 2 of us to heave ho it right side up on the engine stand. I can only imagine how the car will preform with that boat anchor in the nose. I have a wide ratio 4 speed top loader I’m gonna marry to the engine. While driving around for work I pretend I’m in my mustang rowing through the gears and giving the people hell.

Took the Krager SS rims off and got these KeyStones 14” pizza cutter up front 15” deep dish in the back. This is an old picture from before the move. I got the car in what is now being called “The corral”. It is a RV parking spot on the side of my new house behind a steel and wood gate that’s where I keep her

Tires don’t look right just yet. I need to fill in the wheel arches. Currently the tire sizes are
175/65R14 and 235/65R15.
i want to drop the nose and inch and put some 205/75R14 up front and 255/65R15 in the back. I don’t know if raised white letters would be best or just black. I got time to decide.
