Default I picked this up Today

A 1970 mustang 302 coup. I bought it from a customer of mine. He bought it from the orginal owner. Need to find a mustang form to join.

Its got a few upgrades it gets up and goes but its the original 3 speed auto so the engine stay wound up all the time it’s unnerving. Steering need to be worked on it walks around up front and the steering is vague.

Wiring needs some work, no radio or pannel but its got electric spark electric fuel pump.

Seats seen better days

Noice! 70 is my favorite year, although I am more of a fastback fan.

Do you have any details on the motor? Is it a stocker, built, etc?

so i have been driving it about and it has some flaws.
the steering is vague I suspect its the steering column the previous owners installed. Ive inspected and moved the steering rack by hand, its not loose at all its very direct in it’s movements.
There is no gauges that work just some after market gauges in the middle telling me power, oil pressure and coolant temp.
When i jump on the pedal it does this mix of a backfire and stall then it kicks in the after burners and its off like a rocket.
The harmonic balancer or has no paint and no visible line on it and the timing mark on the engine block is black and you can’t see any of the marking so it’s hard to tell if the timing is off or if the chain is stretched.
The exhaust is too loud. In California it now a 1000 fine 1st violators to have and exhaust over 90dB. Plus its just too loud after an hour my ear are ringing its a 3 speed its always cranking.
Look at this mess of wires

I was driving down the street and the alternator fuse and ignition box fuse blew out and the car died while I was driving luckily I was able to coast into an alleyway

Vague steering and generic muscle car wheel. The wheels were dead ahead when this picture was taken.

At least the motor is solid. I have the records it was rebuilt in 2008. Headers and exhaust in 2013. I’ll slowly rebuild it. I have a rowdy cam I’m gonna put in and rebuilt the heads from the springs back. I’ll put some aluminum heads on it after i sort out all the other things that make it unbearable. And it’s not out of the question to scat pack it and fuel injection.
its amazing I drive it every day after work and last night on date night i took the wife out in it.

Yeah you have some work ahead of you but that's definitely not a bad car to have to work on lol. Sure is easier to find motivation to fix that instead of some clunker
