Default I need some pulling power !

Hello Ford Fans ! Gentle men.... Start your comments !!!!! Vroom Vroom

Ok here is the what i need, I use my truck to pull trailers a lot and it has enough power to do it as it is bone stock. But i need to put a little more power to the ground. I often pull things that are very heavy and not on wheels cause i gather scrap metal and i often have to pull stuff out of the weeds. I do have an 8000k champion winch but sometime i just need to chain to it and put power to the tires and grunt stuff up out of weeds and holes and ditches. I also pull very heavy loads on trailers I have a 7'x19' trailer with 4' high walls on it and ill load it to the max and take off with it too. I haul cars trucks and vans as well.

I am thinking i need a power programer and to be shown how to use it.
I am also thinking about some headers and a true dual exhaust instead of the one into to two outlet Flowmaster setup i have now. I have 3:55 gears now so they should be enough.
I am thinking about an air intake system, Maybe the Gots mod ? I wanted a removable snorkel but ive got over that idea.

Any ideas on some things that will help and what i already have in mind ?

^^ Agreed. 4.10s would make a huge difference.
A 12,000K winch for trucks this large should be used, IMO.
Intake, exhaust and programmer will give you easy hp gains. Although the 5.4l has plenty of low end torque to move heavy loads.

It does move those heavy loads when i need it to, i would just like to be a little better at it. I mean im not asking it to tow a house down the road, well not a whole one anyways just the metal out of one lol I would just like to do it more efficiently. I think i will look into a good intake exhaust, right now i have the flowmaster 1 inlet 2 outlet dual exhaust but i need to swap it for true duals and high flow cats.

What type intake should i be looking for ? What have you guys had the best results with ?

Just let me know your opinions cause i hate getting all excited to get a new toy out of a box only to find it it wasn't worth the box it was shipped in lol.

Just do the Gotts mod with a K&N drop in filter.

Actually they are both for performance. I am going to be switching back to my Bassani setup.. Bassani is the cats meow.

Do not spend more money on exhaust! Especially not "true duals"! You won't gain any towing performance. If you want to change your exhaust to try and squeeze some torque out of your truck then remove the flowmaster and ad a Y pipe in its place. If that's too loud for you then a short magna flow single in dual out replacement muffler.
The gotts mods ok if your a kid with no money but is no comparison too a "cold" air intake.

I tried the gotts with a k&n drop in before my airaid intake and it's not worth the time. If you can buy a intake do that! I noticed way more Torque from my intake over the gotts mod and stock!
Good luck

The gotts mod pulls air from outside te engine bay. your "cold air" intake pulls from inside the engine bay. And did you see like massive amounts of torque or what? Why spend 300 bucks for 5hp?
