I have a 1998 f150 flareside and i want to lift it. I dont know much about lifts and tires so i was wondering if someone can help. From what i have been told and what i have reasearched is that i might want to go with a 3inch body lift qbut im not sure whats best and i am clueless on what kind of tires i should get. Thanks

2wd or 4wd? Different lifts depending on that.

Look here for a bunch of info: https://www.f150forum.com/f6/1997-20...thread-199650/

looks to be a four wheel drive, you could crank your stock bars to level it, and if youre wanting more, but be as cheap as possible, then a 3 inch body lift would be your best bet. if you dont mind spending more then a suspension lift would be my first choice

I posted links that tell you the exact information you're looking for. I'm not going to spoon feed you because you're clearly older than a baby.

You know the anecdote about giving a man a fish vs teaching a man to fish? Yea, that's why I'm tryna do.

As it sits right now you could run 35's (with tightening torsion bars), with a 3" body lift you will still only be able to run 35's. I would just crank your T-bars and run 33's. If I where to get a whole new truck without a lift that is exactly what I would do.

AH I see you have had the same epiphany as me after dealing with lift/35s!

I realized that it is not just the lift and the tires, now you have to keep replacing everything that they put extra stress on and it is just not worth it. Loading stuff in and out of the truck sucks, gas mileage is horrible, but you look good and it is extremely easy to work under your truck with a lift lol. For me it is just too much money for what it does.
