Did you have your friend see what they would sell it to him for?
Most parts are discounted 20% to mechanics/shops. They might have gone a bit lower for a shop. Ie wholesale.

Only hassle is having to pick it up from dealer, and return core to the dealer. Helps to have a forktruck.

They bartered with me a bit, it was supposed to be $3850. I called several fords until one bartered. But I didn稚 have anyone else ask.

Yeah ford said they値l fork lift it into a normal pick up truck so we値l see how it goes lol.

They will, it'll be bolted to a pallet on a box, the core has to go back on the pallet and in the box when you return it.

So, what motor are we talking here?

Just curious.... I've heard that all of the 4.6 remans are now Windsors.

My 97 has a Ford Reman in it. It has almost 145,000 on it - and it runs beautifully.
