Question I dont understand...

So, I've been looking at lifting the front end of my truck up. I put a 3" coil spacer in (This one), but my alignment was sht and off almost 4 degrees, so I pulled them out. Now I'm looking at 3.5" lift spindles (these). And I dont understand...do I need to buy new upper control arms, or get a set of cams (like
these these
) in order for this thing to work?

What do I do? Where can I buy upper control arms if I need them? Will these silly cam things actually help? What to do? Help.

I don't believe you should need a new upper control but if your bell joints are weak I would repla e them anyways. And you probably will need a cam to align it

I'd say put the spacers back on and install the cam kits and new control arms if your ball joints are bad. I got the cam kits and control arms at advance auto, get MOOG. Then go get a front end alignment. The cam kits will allow the alignment shop to be able to adjust the camber how it needs to be

The eccentrics for the front camber will allow for 2 degrees of adjustment per side. If you need more than that you are not getting a good lift kit. Or maybe you need ball joints.

Ok. So say I wanted to do the coil AND the spindle to get about 6.5" front lift...would a set of cams get me a clean alignment?

The spacers suck. Anything over 2" spacers puts your stuff at bad angles. I have 2" spacers and 3.5" spidnles and the alignments great. Id replace the ball joints while youre installing spindles

Sweet! I'm gonna contact the guy who sold me the spacer then and see if I can get a smaller one.

Would I still need the cams if I put the spindle in?

3" spacers will never be able to get the alignment right. 2" spacer you can run with stock control arms, 2.5" spacer you will need aftermarket upper control arms that will allow more angle.

You wont need the cams for spidndles, they dont affect any front end geometry
