HVAC Controls Uprgrade
So I have a 2k3 XLT Supercab with the dial-type HVAC controls and I'd like to put in the electronic control panel. How much of a pain will this be? Are the stock harnesses pre-wired for this or do I have to wire everything up? It's not a necessity of course but I'm just not sure if it's worth the effort.

Fr what in read and been told its a pretty major deal. There are vacuum lines and other things that don't match up. You'd have to find a junker with one and pull everything. Not sure on all the details, but I was told what all needed to be done an figured to heck with it, not worth the time and effort IMO.

I have a 99 Exploder with the digi and it has 239k on it and it all still works flawlessly, not even a blend door problem which are the problem area on most HVAC systems, dash removal is usually necessary so its alot of cash.
Yes a donor vehicle is really the best way to source are the parts which there are many to get to do the changeover. I admit it does look better but all the digital automatic heater controls I've owned and used I used in the exact same way I use a dial type. I see little benefit to the upgrade other then the better looking control head, the dial type is quicker and easier in my case.
