Default f250 leafs on 2wd f150?

Hi new to the forum and this is my first post. Im from Ottawa Canada.

so iv been trying to do research on this and cant find any answers.
I have to replace the leaf springs/shakles on my 1997 f150 2wd.
I haul alot of pay load so I want to beef it up.
I have a guy locally who is selling brand new 2000 f250 leafs at a steal and im hoping they will fit. Im guessing they are wider but not sure.
any help would be great!! thanks

They are longer, and they are 3" wide versus 2.5". Try to find a good used set from a 97-99 F250ld, or a 2000-2003 F150 7700.

bbuutt... if you really wanted them to work, all you gotta do is get the front and rear leaf mounts, U-bolts and it should bolt right up...you may have to get new spring pad (part that is welded to the top of the axle)

There is a company in canada called carrier springs that makes custom springs for are model trucks. Any payload you want they will make them specific to your application. Thats where I got mine. 4 inch lift 8 pack thin leaf rated at 4000 lbs a piece. Non lift springs should be cheaper. Might need some longer u bolts. But I would upgrade the whole works. 5/8 u bolts and 3/8 thick top plates. Wont have to worry about it breaking.
