I need to replace the gear selector. How do I do this?

You're not going to find a step by step PDF on this site. It's more of a go for it, and ask questions if you really get stuck. Just start taking the dash apart and removing the appropriate pieces until it's out. Replace it, and put everything back together the way it came out.

Dude i bought this truck with a lift..And besides the fuq is your point? Are you just jealous my tires are worth more than what your whole trucks worth? Im a hvac technician not a mechanic.... Its something that has electronics connected to it..... Idk if its just plug and play or soldering or what...

If you're making a post, you're obviously looking for help on it. But you have to do some of the research yourself on it. Find out whats broken, get the new parts in, actually start taking parts out and trying to fix it. Don't just say "How do I do this?"
I literally have the whole 1997 Ford F150 manual here that I could have given you advice for when you get stuck, but if you're going to be running your mouth like that, I won't even bother.
Here is a basic breakdown for you if you need it. Page 211-04-2 of 211-04-41 plus two pages for actual gear selector removal 307-05-18 to 307-05-19

 

Dont come back in here acting like that.. LOL If im asking how to replace it I obviously know whats broken.... And have the part... But even if I didnt is that any of your damn business? What if I just wanted to know how to fix it?
