I'd pressure wash it but only if I was prepared to use compressed air afterward to blow out the spark plug bores before starting it. Water in plug bores is a common cause of coil failure.

I was told with COP's to spray them with water to make them go ahead and mess up so you can find the weak one. So i would be careful. I agree with the guy that mentioned an air compressor to blow the water out.

The guy didn't leave it running and we ended up having to replace some coils and plugs
Cold water on a hot block doesn't mix well.

Some COP's have open to plug tops, if you get those fillem' with silicone, or buy the ones that are totally enclosed on the top.

And this is why we don't go "mudding" with our daily drivers ladies and gentlemen
That's scary.

No need to be a smartass. Yes my truck is my daily driver, but its not strictly getting me from point a to point b. I use it to go offroad and screw around in just like normal 18 year olds do with their trucks. I understand its dirty but i use it for more than transportation. All I was asking for was a suggestion on how to clean it up a bit to prevent further issues and u chime in acting like im the only person who takes their daily driver off road...

Simple green, a garden hose and a stiff bristle brush is all you should need. Leave the engine off, make sure its cold, avoid direct spray on the alternator. Get it wet, soak it with simple green, let it sit for a few minutes and hose it off. Might have to scrub some of the trouble spots but youll be surprised how clean it will come. Ive been doing this for years with my trucks, especially when I was your age, mud is where my trucks lived! Not anymore though. lol

idk about motors but for my ATV I find simple green is a lot more effective on a dry surface
