^^ but the kit (compressor, tank(s), hoses, switches, etc.) are half the expense. the horns alone can be 200 bucks if its a cheap horn and the kit is an additional 200,

any ideas where i could find a cheap compressor and 3 gallon tank that can push around 145 psi? maybe something off a wrecked big rig?

I've got those cheap 50$ dual chrome "train" horns from harbor freight. Work pretty good, have their own compressor and such, but thinking about getting a bigger compressor and seeing if they can handle it. Not real loud but loud enough to get everyone driving within 100 foots attention, during 40mph.

i really like the kits that www.hornblasters.com is selling, the shocker s4 is a nice system, and cheap too!
