Default Hids

Hey guys I was wondering if white 6000k hids with digital ballasts would melt my stock light housings i have been told yes and no and can't get a straight answer

No they won't melt it, yes you will blind oncoming traffic and have worse output than stock.

Stock headlights were not designed for HID's. Please don't do it. If you want HID's, do it right and do a retrofit.

Ok thanks for the info I figured the white ones wouldn't blind people that's why I avoiding the blue and is that what people are talking about when they say it seems like there hi and lo beams are switched I just didn't want to spend a lot on em so I might just not do it

It has nothing to do with the color, it has to do with how bulbs produce the light and the optics of the headlight housing.
HERE is a good explanation of it.

The only way to do it right is going to run you around $400
