go with 8000K 55watt, that's what I have an they are the brightest light output with a tad blue tint to them.

and here's a chart with the 55 watt and 35watt side by side so you can tell the difference

here's a chart for the 35watt (used for fog lights)

as you can see the 55watt is kind of washed out compared to the same K of the 35watts. to match my headlights I bought 6000K 35watt for my fogs

so you got just the HID bulb and not the ballast?! take a pic of the output an what your have, u believe that is why it is terrible because you don't have the ballast to go with it.

Well I got aftermarket headlights so I was wondering if it was just the headlights or the bulbs

Please be aware that Plug-and-play HID kits are now federally illegal, look terrible, and blind oncoming drivers.

I know mine are illegal but I don't care I never get pulled over for them and new vehicles cone factory with them. I can't help my truck is old and didn't Come with them factory! I know I don't got the projector beam in it to help the on comeing drivers but I aimed my lights to help with them so if u don't like my lights when I meet you the find a turn off hahahah lol.... Anyways a 55 watt kit is to bright to put in your headlights do take into consideration on coming traffic u dont want to blind them adjust you headlights after you install them aim where they don't shine level with the windshield of other cars a 35 watt kit is plenty I do 55 watt kits with off road lights tho

Do it right if you're going to do it at all....it costs more than 99 dollars on Ebay to do it right.
