Default Help! Transmission issues

Has anyone had a problem with there 02 f150 "holding back" and shaking at 50mph going into 5th gear (auto-overdrive) how do i fix it ?

Sounds like torque converter problems.

How's you trans fluid and filter?

Yes, there both just new.. Could torque convertor be a problem

It could also be a misfire issue. When was the last the COP and plugs were changed?

Just curious my 02 screw only has a 4 speed auto and I thought that was the only auto trans they had in that gen. Is there a 5 speed auto I don't know about?

No there are only 4 speed automatics and 5 speed manuals. The OP has a 4 speed automatic that the fourth gear is an over drive gear. Many think when they feel the TC lock it has another gear.
