Ok....so for the last two weeks when ever I turn or go over bumps my front end squeks. I'm guessing it's my shocks or something but haven't got a clue how to accuratley diagnose what's wrong or how to fix it.
Please let me know what you think. Btw....98 f150 4x4

Can't give you an exact answer with not that much detail, but here's why mine squeaked. When I had my si/do flowmaster exhaust put on, the new pipe on the passenger side was rubbing on the leaf spring, just barely. It was enough though to make it squeak. I had no idea what it was, and when I found out, the muffler shock fixed it asap. Could be a crap load of things though.

Default ball joints!

its most likely your ball joints, take it to your local tire shop or somethin and have them look at your balljoints

It is your pitman arm. It squeaked when I turned on my 97 f150. It drove me crazy so I ordered a new one from rockauto.com. That eliminated my squeak. NOTE: I do all the work on my truck myself so if you decide to do so you are going to need a pitman arm puller, a big adjustable wrench, a pickle fork, a hammer, and a good wratchet and some sockets. Not very hard but you may have to take a couple bolts out of you steering box (Not all of them) just enough to where you can move it a little to get the puller on it. If you have anymore questions let me know

Ball joints were replaced late last summer so it better not be that. Ryan4x4 replacing the pitman arm is something that I will have to have a mechanic do for me. I see the part on rockauto.com cost between $16-$40, how urgently do I need to get this fixed?
Thanks to everyone for their feedback!! This forum is awesome!

Not very urgent, but I would suggest getting it done and be done with it. Also if you have the money go ahead and replace the idler arm while your at it. NOTE: Get a steering arm (pitman arm) with a zerk fitting so you can grease it when ever you need to. My truck squeaked for the longest time before I replaced the pitman arm but I eventually decided to bite the bullet and do it.

Yes you figure this out? Mine has started the noise turning onto my driveway or speedbumps.
