Default Help with keyless entry, 1997

the other day i bought a bulldog rs1200 system, with remote start and keyless entry. today i got to work installing it. after removing the panel under the steering wheel i discovered that there already was a ford factory keyless entry system. so i removed that in order to wire in my new system. it IS a ford brand box, however i dont think it was installed at a dealership...

i got the starter wired in no problem, but i cannot for the life of me figure out how to wire up the door locks! as it turns out, the door locks with the physical buttons on the door dont even work without the 5-pin harness plugged into the ford keyless box. i then tried all kinds of combinations in the manual WITH the ford box plugged in to no avail. that 5-pin is where the wires are that the manual says are needed.

NOW, the interior lights and power windows are pooched as well, but i suspect I must have blown a fuse.

anyways, if anyone has any experience with this kind of wiring your advice would be greatly appreciated. if i did not explain myself well enough, i apologize.
