Default help with CV AXLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey everyone.... so today i decided to change out my front cv axle on my 2000 f150 4x4 truck. the removel was a little difficult as the the shaft that splined into the wheel bearing was seized pretty good. i installed the new aftermarket axle and when i it all put back together the wheel wouldn't turn.so i called my mecanic buddy and he said to jack it up under the control arm adn the tire spun a little but still had a bind.took it for a ride and when i turned to the left it almost tore the friggin front end outta my truck. anyone know what the problem is? could it be a faulty cv axle?

Did you dislocate the knuckle in the axle when you put the new one in?
Is it in the diff far enough, did your ball joints line up ok, or did you need to force them??
Is it the right axle?

To put the axle in, you should have had to pretty much remove the hub and bracket. If you worked it in there without removing that, you may have ruined the knuckle.

Try another axle. I have had this happen with two axles right out of the box. When the truck is lifted and the wheel is off the ground the wheel spins fine. When you turn the wheel to the right or left it binds when you spin it.
