Default Help with ABS Relay

I have a 98 F150 4x4 4.6 and the abs light is on. I have been researching a lot on this but have not found what I am looking for. I have replaced the rear abs sensor but it didn't work. I bought a new abs relay but cannot figure out where it goes! I found the ABS fuse in the power distribution box but it is not what I am looking for. I am looking for the relay. Everywhere I look it states that the relay is in the power distribution box. There are two boxes under the hood. The main power distribution box and then a secondary one which is only relays. Is it in there? The owners manual is not helping me and I cannot find it online.

Thanks gusy

How do you know that the relay is bad? It could possibly be a bad wheel speed sensor or even a broken exciter ring.

I don't for sure. But the relay is $10 so I thought I would start cheapest and move my way up. I replaced the rear speed sensor thinking it may be that. It wasn't.

Alright I just check... your truck, being that it is a 4x4, picks up its signal from the wheel bearings in the front. So it possibly could be a front wheel bearing or one of the front wheel speed sensors.

The only good way of rly checking that is to take it to a dealership and have them PID out the front sensors and have them see if one of the signals is missing. You're gona have to pay to have it done but if they tell you which signal is missing then you can replace your own parts on that side of the truck.

Thank you but that still doesn't answer my question. Which relay is the abs relay?

I've been looking on fmcdealer and see a relay listed in the wiring diagram but can't find it in the junction box. Check under the lid of the battery junction box under the hood and see if the lid is marked about which relay control what. Sometimes they have that.
