Default Help!!

Can anyone tell me if an AC compresser will work off a 2006 for 2001 f150? Im a single mom with one vehichle and three kids..all have places to go and my truck is making horrible noise..im almost positive its coming from that pully. I have an 06 parts truck..any info would help.

Yes, you can use them, they're same part. But if the compressor broke or burnt up, there may be more to replace. At minimum, you will have to clean out all the A/C lines (flush them). You could instead buy a new serpentine belt that will bypass the A/C compressor completely if you need to. That's common with folks with a seized pump who are strapped for cash. I keep one in my truck in case the compressor ever seizes.

If they are both 5.4's it should work.. crossed the pant numbers on rock auto on a Denso for both years. F7LZ190703 brand new $118 no core.
