Thanks everyone, this is an update, battery died yesterday, i got a jump later that afternoon so far ive not had the problem sense the battery died, im concerned the problem isnt resolved just went away temporarily

FWIW, Spark,-we owned an 07 grand cherokee- one trip to walmart, we came out, started the jeep normally. Then the digital message display started displaying all manner of gibberish, but no cel.
Took it to autozone immediately, no codes found,- checked the battery,(battery was 5 yrs old)-10.4 volts!( alt. output ok)
How it started, i dont know- changed the battery, all ok!!
Only conclusion is the low voltage was giving the pcm fits.

No longer stuck in 2003
I've had batteries fail in less than a year. Particularly when we've had a "lot" of snow here in misery (What? An inch of snow isn't a lot? They close the city down round these parts for less!) :P

We dont get snow here lol, ive never had a problem before and after the bat died, i thunk the pats killed it and when it died it reset,
Is that a possibility lol
