Default Help!!!!!!!

I'm trying to change my spark plugs and I ran into this issue. I can't get my socket around the plug and there seems to be a piece of metal lining a piece of the spark plug wall. I bought this truck used...

Anyone have any idea what that is? I tried using something to see if it moves and it doesn't.

do you have a magnet? Stick it down there and see if the metal comes out. If not head to autozone in the morning and buy one that's on a pole, usually are flexible too

Take a piece of 3/4" copper tubing and cut teeth into the bottom of the tube. That will free that stuff up to vacuum out.

I tried using the magnet but it won't catch it. I also tried sliding a screw driving in there to try and pry it loose but it doesn't budge. It's in their solid

Could this be because at one point the spark plug blew out and someone tried fixing it???

I see good sharp shoulder on plug. Your socket doesnt grab it?

If grind socket edge down flat it will

lol it sadly looks like it blew out at some point and they wedged that piece of metal in there with it to keep it from moving.... No seriously someone couldn't be that dumb/desperate could they!? Wow definitely haven't seen that before
