Help!
Hey guys ive got a 97 4x4 with the 4.6 w engine code. I have a bad miss between 2500 and 3000 rpm. I am stumped
I have brand new plugs, wires, coils, egr valve, map sensor, and idle air control valve. My code scanner is saying that i have direct miss on cylinders 2 8 7 and 4. The only other thing i can think of is maybe the computer. I have good compression on every cylinder any ideas?

cylinders 2 8 7 4 are all from the same coil on your truck. Check first to see that you have a good connection on the plug between your coil and the wire harness. Also see if you might have the wires mixed up. if you have the old coil, you might want to swap it out for you new one
Those coils hardly ever go out because they are just wires encased in the material that makes up the coil If anything goes bad it is in the plug sockets or the connections.
