Default Heater resistor

Ok, I know what it is and had a junk yard one in that was working on position 1,2 and 4.

It stopped working and only had 4 (high).

Bought a E bay one and dam only have 4(high). you don't even need it to get position 4.

Is there a fuse? Wires to resistor and fan motor area seem fine. Any other causes or just dam Ebay part?

Testing resistors is not hard, sounds like its not the problem.

Are you referring to a blower motor resistor? Hi would bypass, so issue would likely be in resistor circuit if new work like old.

Could be the part, could be the switch. I just did this 2 weeks ago, and it was the resistor. 90 times out of 100 the resistor is the culprit. The other 10% are from the switch, blower motor or wiring.

Stupid Ebay. Never again even on simple stuff. Rock auto.

Went to Local store and got to test a different new resistor. Fixed.

So I guess the O2 sensor that is also new and not working on son's beater is in question and will get replaced with a rock auto part. Cheaper to throw one more sensor at it than find time to take it to a mechanic.

Where is the bang head icon. Doh!
