Heater Help??
Found out my heater doesn't work. Have checked numerous threads and found it could be the heater blend door, the motor that moves it or the temperature control ****. I have removed the basic items and found the blend door does indeed move and the bottom parts are there (cracked so will try to tyrap or glue) and when I powered up the system and moved the dash temperature control know NOTHING happened. So, it seems that it can be either the controller or the temp ****. I have a ford service manual but for the life of me I can't find any checkout procedure listed for these components. HOW does one check out the temp ****??? IF the temp **** is good then my deduction is the controller/servo that moves the door is bad. ANY help appreciated...THANKS

From what I'm reading, you heater/AC controls are doing nothing?
Have you tried fuses?
If it's just your heat not working and your blower fan does work and you have AC, then your problem is most likely your heater core. check your input/output hoses to your heater core, they are on the passenger side of the engine bay, if one is cool after the engine has had time to heat up, that is your problem.

Thanks for responding and for clarification. When I turn the ignition to on the blower motor runs and when I select floor, def, etc. I can hear and feel the air changing to that selected outlet. The a/c works just fine just don't get any heat. According to several other threads I read it was stated that the flap door and driving motor are the most usual culprits. I removed the driving motor from the door and saw the bottom of the flap door where it joins the motor. I could manually rotate it freely. So, the flap door is NOT the culprit. When I turned the temperature **** from hot to cold the motor did NOTHING. So, the question remains is it the temperature control **** or the flap driving motor????? Await your response.

To my knowledge you should not be able to rotate the blender flap door freely, it's usually stuck in position, mine was when I was working, so that may be broken.
it does have a blend door actuator...
