I bought a half a bolt of leather for my headliner but I don't think I'm going to go through with it. I wanted to step up the interior a bit but I'm not sure it would be worth the hassle. even Vinyl has it's own issues. I'll probably end up going with regular cloth headliner when I get around to it.

I don't understand why everybody has such a hard time to get the old headliner out. I have a 1997 single cab black Lariat F150 with tan leather interior and headliner to match. It is almost impossible to re-glue the old liner if it has came completely off the deck. You have to line up the preexisting holes and glue everything perfect on the first try and that's almost impossible. The good news is that I found the original color headliner right here at Pep Boys in stock. It's by Heads Up and the number is HU907, perfect color match. Has foam backing. Used with adhesive: Permatex Body Shop Heavy Duty headliner and carpet adhesive. Item number: 27828. 2 coats to deck and one coat to liner. 2 cans needed. The liner material was $65.00 and its enough material to do my cab twice and the glue was $12 a can. So for 90 bucks my headliner is back to the way it came off the assembly line.
