Default Headlight switch mod

Ok I decide to go ahead and pull my headlight switch to cut the ramp so my fogs would come on whenever I wanted and splice wires together do they'd be on with hi's my question is how the hell does the actual ****/switch come off the switch assembly

I believe it just pull straight off, i know a buddy of mines switch would easily pull off,

Lol hmmm id just pop the whole switch assembly outta the dash and see if you can pry it with a flathead....im sure someone with more knowledge will chime in

I did mine a while ago, so I don't remember exactly, but I know I followed this write-up. I think I did the same thing and just pulled everything apart far enough to get in and cut a ramp.

Reach behind the dash there is a small butten on the side of the switch push the butten and pull the **** and the **** and shaft will pull out of the switch you can then remove the switch if you cant find it go to aparts store and ask to look at a switch.

I never could just get the **** to come off but got the assembly about of the housing I got the guide notched and wire spliced housing is glued back together and back in the truck works nice fogs w/parking lights and hi beam

I'm on my phone and not sure how to put a link on here but there's a thread called. " mod lights "there is a link in with full write up if you have a 00-03 you'll need to scroll down threw the link because the trimming of the guide for the switch is different then the 97-99
