Default Headlight Recommendations

My headlights are a little foggy and I’m thinking of upgrading. 1997 Lariat, what style did you use if you have done this? Did you do both side and headlights, Did you stay old school or more modernized? I’m kind of old school style thinking but I also like the thought of improving visibility and safety.

No such thing. In fact, non DOT approved lights for your vehicle.....such as projection, etc, ... that blind oncoming drivers actually work against your safety.....

Halogen bulbs get dim with age. New white bulbs, new housings you will be seeing again

I ended up going with Raxiom G2 euro headlights. I got them off of American trucks.

It’s great feedback like this that makes this such an interestin* and helpful group of people.

during this headlight research I’m also learning that ford made things complicated with an early build date version headlights verses later build dates. It appears that my build date of 08/96 is going to fall in the earlier group but looking in vendors websights I don5 always see the distinction. Does it matter that my truck is a Latiat? Would that be why I don’t see two versions dependent on build dates?

im confused lol

Those are nice looking. If one of mine go out I'm going to get a set of those.

( By the way..it's "Raxiom" not "racism")

I agree, I decided on changing the main headlights but keeping the original sides. I hope that works

Lariat won’t matter. What will matter for your early build is that you need to swap the header panel the headlights snug into for a later build version update to newer headlamps.

Headlights for early builds are long gone, AFAIK.
