Default Headlight bulbs

I've been looking for a brighter headlight to go in the stock 2002 headlamps without melting the plugs. Is there any kind out there the people would recommend. that are brighter then stock but yet won't melt the plug or the lamp?

I have gotten great use out of my Silverstar ultras. Probably had them for almost 9 years now. The biggest limitation in headlights is the actual lens. Replacement stockers can be had on ebay can be had for $30.

+1 for the Silverstars....installed a pair in my fogs cuz one died. Afterwards I couldn't tell if my headlights were on or not so I upgraded those as well. Don't think my neighbors appreciate them at night like I do....lol

X2 on the silverstar ultras- and sometimes you can find them at wallyworld cheaper than the auto parts stores.

A few weeks ago I put GE Nighthawk Platinum 9007 bulbs in my stock lamps. Great whiter and brighter bulbs @ $16 from Ebay. (I'd say 25% brighter) Not HID, or LED, but nice for the lesser cost.

That is one of the top ranked lights out there too. Good choice.
