Default headers

I am going to be ordering a set of headers for my 03 scab with the 5.4 tomorrow, I know the benefits of long tubes vs short tubes. But what I want to know is if I go with long tubes do I need to get a full custom exhaust or is there a way to hook them up to the factory y pipe?

Order the OBx longtube with there y-pipe as it will connect to the stock in the factory location.

How much are the obx? And what about cats and 02 sensors? Or does it all just hook up in factory location?

Im having a hard time with this because the only thing ive ever put headers on was a pos Chevy when we swapped out the engine because it had a horrible rod knock.

They offer a catted y-pipe. They include o2 extension harness's for the front o2 sensors, and the rears are in the stock location. The OBX y-pipe ties in the exhaust right where the exhaust clamp is before the muffler..

Well I just checked out the obx and I wasnt really looking at spending the $500, I live in WI so I don't have emissions testing. Is there anything else similar to the obx set up but below the $400 mark?

Otherwise I'm just gonna get a set of shortys because my manifolds are leaking like crazy and I don't feel like going with the stock manifolds.

Shorty headers don't improve much. Nevertheless I'm going to put a set on mine. They bolt right up with no headaches. I found a set pretty cheap here : www.newlevelmotorsports.com
