Default Had a realization today

Today, i drove out to my farm to get my boat trailer, which has sat for the past 20 years in a shed. im doing a complete overhaul on the trailer, and am replacing almost everything. The ground was muddy, and my 2wd truck had the hardest time getting there and back. took a good amount of time, at the expense of all the grass that is now destroyed. I think i need a good 4x4 truck. Is there a way to make a 4x4 out of my 2wd truck, and still have the option of switching between 4wd and 2wd?

It'd be possible but if you were gonna go to that much effort. It'd be worth the price of doing a full SAS IMO..

Most say the cost to switch trucks is much cheaper then that of actually converting it to a 4x4.
Id Just shop for a cheap 4x4 for the farm if I were you =D

I just sold my 2000 4cyl Wrangler for $7000! It was far from stock, but I never would have thought I would get that much out of it. Jeeps usually hold their value very well.

Me too. I've owned this one for about 15 years. Still working on it, and still dumping money into it. It has seen three different trucks come and go, and no doubt it will see the F150 go some day also.
