Which is better?? does the gryphon come with custom tunes or do you have to buy them seperatly??

I like that the Gryphon CS has the screen but I also like the that the SCT is $60 less and comes with 3 custom tunes.. Or im I over looking a better option??

 

BTW Im looking to buy for the most power gain possible.. I dont care about mpg as long as it take any of my little 15mpg away lol (and yes I know when I get on it it will affect gas mileage but im talking day to day mileage..

They both will get the job done, but the gryphon gives you guages, and a code reader

 

I would go with the Gryphon. I bought the CS about 4 months ago and I love it. About a month ago I got a custom tune and it helps a bit. Part of the reason I like the CS is the constant readout so I can monitor what my truck is doing.

 

Yeah I like the gauges but honestly thats the only reason im considering it.. The SCT claims better gains which is what im looking for im just not sure if the sct is exaggerating their claims.. Oh and the SCT also reads codes so really it seems like the display is the only thing edge/gryphon has on SCT..

 

Well ive been talking with Mike from 5 star tuning and Im thinking ill be going with the x3 with 3 of his Custom tunes.. his package is about $45 more than what I could get it off ebay for but I think his tuning will be better..

 

Man I just want to say mike @ 5 star Is awesome.. I ordered my x3 yesterday then called back this morning to order another one for my grandpaws f150 and I just got an email from him saying their both shipping out tomorrow.. I can't wait to try em out...

Bill at PHP will do better tunes, he spends actual time adjusting everything to your truck only, plus your driving habits.. Most of the other tuners have general #'s they toss into a tune and your done. Bill takes his time..

SCT X3 is good, my buddy has 1 in his 05 and his gf has 1 in her truck. But they have tunes by VMP I believe.
