do these turn on when you open your door? or when do they come on

 

I did it!! Sort of. I scoured through the wiring diagrams in my Haynes manual and then took apart the dome light to find the right wire. I took up the bottom door panel on the passenger and tapped into the correct wire with some LED strip lights I had. It works perfectly! I'll get some pictures when it gets a little darker.
If they aren't very bright I'll just get some better LED lights. I didn't mess with the relay so I want to make sure I don't use any power intensive lights.
