Default Grille guard

Do y’all think I can get a 09-14 F150 grille guard to fit my 2000 f-150? If not why not? I got a killer deal on a brand new one but I’m not sure if I want to get it. It’s $75 and still in the box. Aries brand. Nothing wrong. All hardware included.

It won't line up with the front of the truck. It's designed to flow with the newer grill. Will look way out of place. Also wouldn't bet my life but I think the frame mounting is different too. Sure you could make a bracket but you'd need some fab skills and the desire to put lipstick on a pig.

But you could get it for a deal, flip it and buy one for your truck with the profits

You’re probably right but I can find absolutely NO ONE with a grille guard for our trucks in my state. And I do not believe anyone is gonna pay me enough so I can buy a new one.you see my dilemma. Could just upgrade trucks

Help me out. What is the reason for these under normal driving conditions? I guess if you hit a deer it would protect the grille, or if you herd cattle, otherwise is it just for looks?

Good for moving other drivers out of your way in Detroit traffic lol

You pretty much have the idea, it just protects the grill/radiator/lights. If you herd, go through thick brush, live where there is a lot of deer, that kind of thing. Or if you just tend to hit a lot of things.

I bought a used chrome grill guard from a 97 for my 2000. Had to trim it by the lower end for difference in lower bumper shapes. Paid $100 for mine. Junkyards/salvage yards may have what you are looking for, unless you really want new.
