Default Gotts mod

Hey guys so I finally got a day off tommorow and decided to do the gotts mod. I bought all the materials tonight and just wanted to get started so I till the snorkel out and I new I would have to sand the PVC pipe to fit it in but I couldn't get it for the life of me. Is there something you guys did that helped fit it in easier?
Thanks in advance guys for all the help, I'd be screwed if it wasn't for this forum lol

Sand a lot. I used a bench grinder. Then just cram it in there, I don't remember how far it was though

well you only leave maybe 1-2 inches on each side of the pvc unsanded. and when you think you've sanded enough off you still need alot more its wayyyyyy more than I ever thought it would be. and to help with the length it only needs to be MAYBE 4" long

SANDED??????
I used my bench grinder. A coarse file will also work. If you're using sandpaper you'll be at it for a week,LOL.

Ya you have to get it really thin and oval shaped to jam it in there. I smashed it in with a hammer when it was about an inch to long lol. Took me forever to get it back out

I had to get creative when sanding the pipe. I don't have a bench grinder or any such tool so I used a hand held wood planer LMAO. it worked.
