Any input on gears for my 02 xlt 4.6? I'm running 35x12.5.

do you want go power or gas mileage? When I was looking into it, if you want gas mileage then 4.10's are your answer. If you want go power, look towards 4.56's.

Preferably power but I'm just sick of the constant shifting on highway and higher speed roads

Either way you'll notice a power increase from stock to 4.10's, it's just a matter of do you need the little extra power out of the 4.56's? If you don't but plan on lifting your truck higher and going to 37's it might be worth it to get the 4.56.

4.10s. Better all around. It's a 4.6 to begin with its not going to turn in to a rocket ship going from 4.10s to .56s. However you'll be running higher rpms on the highway which I wouldn't want.

I'm running 4.10 on factory sized tires and I actually liked the increase in rpm's. Kept it in the higher rpm band that the 4.6 likes. I could accelerate on the highway without it downshifting like before. City mileage went from 12 to 13.4mpg and highway went from 16 to 17.8-9 over the 3.55. You could do 4.10's but if you're going to re gear, why not reap the benefits of a slightly taller gear? Especially with the bigger heavier tires.

What size tire and which engine?
3.73 is almost pointless if you have larger than a 33" tire (unless you currently have 3.08 gears, and even then...).
