Default Gap at side of rear bumper

Bumper gap
can anyone tell me what’s going on with this bumper. Seems like it was changed out maybe due to the gaps around the rear qaurter panels?

yeah the pictures I have aren’t the greatest- it’s still sitting on a friends farm up north til I can get it in October. Basically just tryin to get ahead of any issues now. Already have tires and oil and a battery up there ready to be put on- now I’m just killing time lol

Looks cut. Is the other side the same way? Did someone get *REALLY* lazy when patching rust spots back there and just cut it rather than taking it off?

yeah it’s a third vehicle now. It was my grandfathers so I’m going to get evreything changed, cleaned out, possibly powder coat parts like the user just below you (black and white I think?).

As it is I think I’m putting in double the worth of the truck- 285 K02’s, double din CarPlay radio, backup camera, I’ve got kicker speakers and subs, plus all the fluids and god knows what mechanical work with the rust I’m sure it’s got. It will never be worth selling honestly so I’ll keep it going til it can’t anymore then it can sit in my backyard 😊
