It's doing the "sweep test", which is calibrating the gauges since they are digitally run, not analog like 98 and earlier. It is done in all Fords with digital odometer. It's nothing to worry about. Just be glad they work. lol

pretty sure your battery is getting low or the alternator is about to fail, mine started doing that right before it died. there are a bunch of threads all over for this. check them both out.

Which AGM did you go with? I have a friend that was buying the Optima red tops. He used to get 7 or 8 years out of them, and then started getting 3 years out of them. He just got a yellow in hopes they are better because they are supposed to be intended for heavily accessorized vehicles.

Orileys superstart, it carries a 3 year warranty so I should be good. I have heard optimas aren't worth the money anymore.

My 07 Mustang, 2006 Fusion and the neighbors SHO all do the full sweep reset when key is set to the on position. This is normal with digital electronics using stepper motors. It may not be a common factor in the Gen 10's (both mine are 98s, pre-digital), but it certainly is in the newer models.
