Default Fuel in spark plug holes

I was checking the COPs and the first one I took out had a clear liquid on the coil boot and I looked inside the spark plug hole and the liquid is almost to the top of spark plug itself. Does anyone know what would cause this and how to fix it?

I would check and see if the nearest fuel injector is leaking. It might have a bad o-ring. Also if it is near the fuel pressure regulator it may be leaking. Could even be coming from the regulator and coming out of a vacuum line.

Which cylinder is it?

Are you sure its fuel? Reason I ask is you said a "clear liquid". Did you pull any other coils to see if it's elsewhere? Let us know if it is infact fuel.

Same here, why would fuel change to clear liquid, so to speak ? Unless you were unsure? Fuel will smell like gas.

Also can you give a little more detail, which cylinder are you referring to? The more detail, the faster you can get help.

I didn't pull any other coils. It's cylinder 1. I couldn't really see into the hole very well. So it may not be a clear liquid. I'm going by what I wiped off the coil boot it seemed to be clear.

acollins, - if you can't tell what's down in the chamber, use compressed air to blow it out while holding a rag over the chamber. If anything is in there, it will blow out onto th rag. That way you can take a bigger huff to determine what kind of liquid was in there. Careful, make sure you use a rag because that stuff will jump out at yuh if you don't.
