Default fuel pump replacement, what all do i need?

The fuel pump went out on my 99 so here's what i have so far

New fuel pump (complete drop in ready assembly)
New fuel filter
2 bottles of lucas fuel treatment
And the torx bits to remove the bolts holding the bed down

What else will i need to remove it and about how much does the 6' 5" bed weigh?

Sorry I'm no help but how much did the fuel pump cost you? Just curious because that's a future job on the list

Beds aren't that heavy. Ideally if you have 3 buddies come over you can lift it off easily. Make sure you have the new filter screen to go on the pump as well

Something I didn't know I needed when I did mine. Im almost positive it was the blue colored one, and that's a 3/8. They work for the fuel and air conditioner connects.

I did too but only because it was winter and I have a topper, luckily there was a recall on the tank straps that I did a week before the fuel pump.

Next time(if there is a next time) Im pulling off the bed, I got SUPER frustrated doing everything from under the truck. Once you get the bed off I cant see it taking you more than 15-20 minutes.

Just my thoughts...

5 minutes with box slide back. Did mine when I was in the middle of removing the body lift from my truck
