Ok so I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to remove the fuel lines from the pu.p itself? Anyone?

Squeeze with your thumb and index finger. Think of them as a child proof pill bottle lol

Pull the pink key and that line should slide off she if the white piece is also a key. You may need a disconnect tool.

You don't need a disconnect took, just a small screw driver to pull the clip out. But honestly if you don't know how to remove the clips you shouldn't be missing with the fuel pump.

Changed a pump last week. 1.5hrs from start to finish.

Yea thanks for the words of "encouragement" please if your going to ridicule me I don't need your help.

But in know how to work on my truck just fine but before I mess with something I haven't touched I would like to talk with someone who has delt with it before....

If you look at my pics my truck is not stock... I have done all the mods myself.

I figured as much with the white, but the red? Do I pull the tab or separate the tongue from the sleeve that goes in?

The white one is locked in by little teeth on the "opened" in. You need to gentle squeeze them while pushing so that the "closed" end starts to come out the hose.

The red one is basically the same thing but needs to be unlatched first. It's not very easy to explain in words. You open the "door" and then push through.

My previous post wasn't trying to ridicule you, I was just simply saying, for YOUR own safety that if you cant look at those clips and figure it how to remove them working on the fuel system of your truck may not be the best idea.

Everybody has to learn somehow. These clips are a PIA. But take your time as they can be a little brittle.

And you are more than qualified to change this pump. Asking for advice is why we are all here. I still ask questions on here and I do this for a living.

I completely disagree with some of the comments on here. I commend anyone who has the motivation to work on their own vehicle. That's the ONLY way your gonna learn!
