Default Fuel pump of choice?

I have dropped the tank to replace the rusted out hard brake lines and to clean up some rust. I want to replace the fuel pump while I'm in there. Does it need to be motorcraft or will any auto parts store do?

Edit, just checked motorcraft price can't afford it.
Thanks!

NAPA has one that is made by Delphi. They claim that Delphi was the OEM supplier on these, so you're doing well with them. A Carter is the only other brand I would use.

I have a Delphi on mine as a replacement. Only been on for 2 years/10,000 miles, so no idea on longevity, but looked almost identical to the stock one I pulled out and fit perfectly.

This is the one I got off Amazon This is the one I got off Amazon
