Default Fuel line replacement question

Has anybody used this fuel line repair kit, http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/1/1...t-800-063.html and if so will it fit the section of line right after the filter on my 98 model truck? It is a v8 4.6L xlt. Please and thank you!

If you read the ratings of this part at Autozone it does not look good. Difficult to use, and all of them do not recommend this kit.

That thing (fuel line repair kit) looks good on paper, but does have bad reviews. I had the front side fitting seize on the filter - cut the line at the fitting, stretched it out with a screw driver and secured it to the new filter with a hose clamp. I was not sure it would work but it has held up for 4 years, just replaced the filter today - no problems yet.

Now that I have said it let's see.

Well put. You know if it's going to leak, it will now. I wish you luck.

We used a similar, since we don't have AutoZone here, and it worked okay. We made sure to use some Super 300 Permatex on the line, so that it will never leak. Of course you'll never get the fitting out again, but it won't leak. lol.
