Default Front Driveshaft Question/Help

Hey all,

Need a little help from the community in regards to my truck.

Long story short, I went mudding (first time ever) and twisted/snapped my front shaft from the Transfer Case to the Transmission.

I have a 97 F150 with the E4OD transmission. The shaft snapped off before the u-joints at the Transfer Case. I think the shaft was fab'd cheaply as the steel seemed thinner than exhaust piping...

I'm having trouble finding a replacement. I did some research and found that the 4R100 is basically an updated version of my transmission. What I want to know is if a shaft from a Expedition/F250 will fit mine. Or the flipside of that, will a front shaft from a 4R70W fit my truck?

Any help assistance would be very much appreciated!

Bryan

If you want a VERY HIGH quality D-shaft
Look into Tom Woods Drive Shafts http://www.4xshaft.com/

Huh. I think your broke your front drive shaft from the front diff to the transfercase. If thats the case you will need one from a truck with a E4OD or 4R100 truck. THe lengths are different for ones from a 4R70.
