Default Front Axle Question

A friend of mine has a 2002 F150 Supercrew 4x4 and he recently wrecked it. He broke the front right wheel off and pulled the axle shaft out. I figured it would be easier to get on at a salvage yard than to rebuild it. The question they asked me was if it has a vacuum disconnect. I have no idea on how to tell. I know it has the switch on the dash like my 97 F150. Any help will be greatly appreciated

the vacuum disconnect is for actuating the level to engage the front diff anyways does he have ifs up front and are you just talking about the cv axle by any chance cause then it shouldn't matter as far as the vac line they are asking about

Negative. You need the vac line with a manual shift as well
