Default Ford 4.6l / 5.4l heads interchangeable?

Quick question...

Are 2v heads off a 4.6l interchangeable with 2v heads off a 5.4l?

For example, could I get a set of heads off a Crown Vic PI from the wrecker and use them on my 1998 LD F250 (same as F150 7700)

So I have been doing some reading, and let me know if I have this straight...

The Crown Vic (99+) has the PI head. The 5.4 F-150 started using the PI in 1999... Therefore the head is not interchangeable with a 98 F250 unless I convert the Intake manifold to a 99+ 5.4. That being said, I could run the PI head on my 98 F250, if I were to use the intake/supercharger system off of a 99+ lightning.

Correct?

The 4.6 or 5.4 pi heads are exactly the same. Someone correct me if im wrong.

Just slap on some PI heads and then you can bolt on the rest of the lightning intake manifold.

Do even think about throwing a Lightning supercharger on top of a PI swapped NPI 5.4. The compression ration is close to 10.5:1 and can barely keep from detonating on 93 as it is.

Yeah, I read that it would increase compression ratios, Right now I am inthe process of collecting parts for a full re-build which is why I am asking.

Trying to do it on a budget... (Famous last words!)

No doubt the PI heads will raise the compression, but im running 12lbs of boost with no issues or detonation. I would still do some reasearch, but i think it could be done.

Yes and you also have 9:1 compression ratio. I actually have a PI swapped NPI shortblock in my truck. I am telling you with a blower you will have detonation issue with PI heads and stock NPI pistons.
