You will be fine. I ran 12# on my N/A engine with a L swap. And had the extra load and weight of it being lifted on 38X15.50R20s. The key is to keep IATs cool, tranny temps cool and get a good tune. Ran it for 2 years.

My 6800lb FX4 supercrew on 38s ran 14.56@91MPH with a 2.08 60'.

I did end up meting #2 piston but it was due to my tune being set up for straight fuel and ended up running a mixture of E10 and 104 race fuel with ethanol as well so ran lean. Still drove home 50miles. Would do it again in a second.

If your nervous run lower boost but more is better :-)

Oh and Ls DONT have forged bottom ends. They have forged cranks but the pistons and rods are the same material as the N/As. And N/A cranks have been know to stay together or 800RWHP trucks. Wayne

Do you happen to know what the compression and piston dish was stock. I've seen 18cc and 9.5

The only difference is the lightning has (17 CC) hypereutectic dished pistons. N/A's use flat top cast pistons (0 CC). This is why the N/A engines are slightly higher compression. Compression on a N/A engine is 9:1 as mentioned above, I believe the lightning has 8.5:1.
