Fog light wires for 98 Ford f150 xlt 4x4

I was looking to install fog light but I am not sure if it is prewired for it. I have the precut holes in the original bumpers and the light switch does pull out when regular light is on. I looked near the area of the fog light hole and saw a connected wire with a white end. Could that be it?

On my 97 I went and bought a fog light switch then tapped in to the brown wires behind the switch to a park light turn on then put the new switch on and hooked everything up I'll try to get a picture in a bit make sure the relays are in the correct spot

Thanks for responding to my question. I asked a bunch of people in the know and they were not sure. 2 said they would have to look at it some say it should others say they don't. I am assuming that you have hooked yours up as you described, is it working without any issue? I would like to see a picture. As I understand it the kit needed to install the wires are no longer available from Ford if I in fact need it. I attached that wire with the white end I was talking about earlier, you know what they are for?

U shouldn't need to tap in to anything. The wire harness should already be there for factory fog lamps. I have an 03 and all I did was get the fog lamps and switch from a junkyard and installed them. While looking for a place to hook up the wires, I found another bunch of wires wrapped up in wire conduit and tape that didn't look right. It looked to be too bulgy for the wires that were coming from it. After unrolling the tape, an unused harness popped out and plugged right in to my fog lamps. I turned on the switch and the lights came on.

when I took the brown wire splice off to fix something it would not come on and I don't know if on the 03 since it's a different switch that it is the only difference

I brought it in to a ford dealership cause they said all they would have to do is look under it and see if it had prewires, they tried to jack me for 125.00 just to look. They said probably does but needed to look...... Still no answer. I looked again still nothing . Anyone ?

I'm tellin ya buddy, it is prolly prewired. Ur just gonna have to look. Mine were pretty wrapped up in tape and conduit, u just gotta find where it looks bulky and cut the tape off and pull them down.

This is the wires I had to put together

I must have misunderstood u. I thought u were talking about the actual harnesses that connected to the fog lamps themselves. The harnesses for those were up under the bumper, and were wrapped up. Once unwrapped, they connected directly to the OEM fog lamps I got from the junkyard. As far as the switch, u will need to buy the actual switch that turns and pulls out. All the wiring for ur switch should be there, and u won't need to run any extra wires. Just buy the switch that is equipped to turn on foglamps and they should turn on.
